Background

Founded in 2015, the Regional Agricultural Consulting Center (RACC) is a regional, farmer-centered organization committed to transforming agriculture across Eastern Africa—primarily Somalia, Somaliland, and Uganda.

We bridge the gap between academic research and practical, field-level farming. By addressing core challenges like soil degradation, climate variability, and pest pressure, RACC equips smallholder farmers with climate-smart solutions that boost yields, secure food supplies, and build long-term economic resilience.

What We Do

RACC delivers hands-on technical solutions, agricultural infrastructure, and capacity-building programs, including:

Climate-Smart Infrastructure: Design and installation of drip/gravity irrigation, greenhouses, shade-net nurseries, and water storage systems.

Agronomic Research & Diagnostics: Soil and water lab testing, on-farm research, and mobile plant clinic outreach for crop disease management.

Extension & Capacity Building: Farmer Field Schools (FFS), youth and women-focused training, and seedling production using Good Agronomic Practices (GAPs).

Environmental Restoration: Tree planting, land rehabilitation, and drought-resilience interventions.
